June 5, Tuesday – 6 pm-8pm, Grill Smart, Eat Smart – UF/IFAS Extension Office. Registration and payment required by May 31. Class will include grilling options and safety; food safety; grilling meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, desserts and more! Cost: $10

June 6, 2018, Wednesday – Invasive Species Workshop: Florida’s Most Unwanted Guests Air Potato Challenge – 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  Invasive Workshop Flyer  Come learn about invasive plants and animals that impact Northwest Florida (Special speaker at noon).  Air Potato Challenge is an opportunity to receive Air Potato Leaf Beetles for use in controlling the invasive Air Potato Vine. Beetle Distribution will be from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Pre-registration is required to be considered a beetle recipient at

June 18-20, Monday – Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., 4-H Grilling Camp for Age 11 +, Day program. Teaches youth the art of grilling and prepares them for the District Grilling Competition.  Location: Extension office,  Cost: $50.00

June 25 – 29, Monday – Friday, 4-H Legislature - Tallahassee, FL, 4-H Members come develop your skills to debate, analyze legislation and speak publicly, all while making new friends and having a whole lot of fun.  At this civic education event, you can sponsor a bill, amend, or lobby it, then debate the issues on the Capitol house and senate floors with your friends.  Legislature is open to youth 4-H Age 13 to 18 (as of September 1 of the current 4-H year). Cost:  $230.00

July 9-13, Monday – Friday, - 4-H Residential Summer County Camp - Bay, Gulf, Franklin and Wakulla at Camp Timpoochee 4-H Center. We will also need counselors (Age 14-17) during residential camp. Counselor slots are limited, so if you are interested, apply soon! Cost: $275

July 16-20, Monday - Friday - Senior Marine Camp - Tuition: $275, Register at

July 18-20, Wednesday – Friday, 9:30-4:00, Cake Decorating for ages 11+, Day program. Teaches youth the art of cake decorating.  Location: Extension office   Cost $50

July 30 – August 2, Monday – Thursday, 4-H University is a four-day leadership experience on the campus of the University of Florida. Participants must be between the ages of 14 – 18 by September 1st of the previous year and must not have graduated high school.   This event is the state-level competition for 4-H Showcase, but it is also an opportunity to explore topics that interest you. Love horses? Spend a day at the Horse Research Lab. Science is your thing? Learn how they grow plants on Mars. There are many different topics you can explore.

Registration: May 1st and will remain open until June 9th. All registrations, both youth and adult, must be submitted on 4HOnline.
