Day Camps

  • Registration is now open and closes the week before the 1st day of camp or until full. 
  • All payment is due at registration
  • Bring a packed lunch 
  • Camps are located at the Duval County 4-H Office (1010 N McDuff Ave Jacksonville, FL 32254)

Sew into Fashion:
4H Sewing Camp 

June 3-7, 2019, 9am-4pm daily, ages 8-16, $115

Beginner participants will learn about sewing tools, materials and techniques, as well as explore fashion design elements to create a garment and accessories.  All materials needed and a sewing kit to take home will be provided.
Advanced participants will work with advanced sewing tools, materials and techniques, as well as explore fashion design elements to create a garment and accessories. Experienced participants are youth who have already completed the beginner level in a previous year and are looking to expand their knowledge and skills through a more advanced project.
On the Wild Side Environmental Camp June 10-14, 2019, 9am-4pm daily, ages 9-13, $100 This camp will give youth an opportunity to get outside and enjoy nature! Come explore with us through Florida’s wildlife, forests, natural springs, coastal ecosystems, animals, and more! This camp is a great way to excite youth’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about the environment. There will be field trips nearly every day to discover the natural beauty of Florida!
All About Animals  June 17-20, 2019, 9am-4pm daily, ages 5-8, $85 During this 4 day camp, campers will learn about all different kinds of animals such as farm animals, pets, marine animals, wildlife, entomology, and exotic animals with hands on science activities. We will travel and take field trips to visit marine animals, and farm animals, and the Jacksonville Zoo!
Can you Escape? 4-H Escape Room Challenge Day June 21, 2019, 9am-5pm, ages 8-15, $25 This one-day summer camp is hosted by the Duval County 4-H Youth Council. The teens of the council have put hard work into creating a day full of challenges and fun! During this camp, youth will explore escape room challenges, teambuilding activities, and other hands on activities to explore their creative and detective skills! (this one day camp is a fundraiser for council scholarships, 100% of the funds raised go directly to the youth council).
Ag Tech Feeds the World! Science Camp   June 24-28, 2019 9am-4pm daily, ages 9-12, $100. Interested in how we feed the world? Like science and technology? This camp is great for youth who want to know more about how agricultural technology is using robots, drones, and GPS to advance agriculture to make safer and more environmentally friendly foods. There will be field trips nearly every day to learn about aquaponics, agbots, hydroponics, ag drones, and more!
Science of Cooking  July 22-26, 2019,  9am-4pm daily, ages 10-16, $120 Do you want to learn how to cook good food & learn what types of food you need for your body? Well, put on your chef’s hat & apron & join us for a fun-filled week of cooking, shopping, traveling & dining. During this day camp, youth will spend each day from 9am-4pm cooking and learning about the culinary industry and science behind cooking techniques! Not your average cooking camp!

    May 18, 2019 7:30am-5:30pm 2nd Training (CIT and 1st year JR Counselors) - Camp Cherry Lake
    July 1, 2019 2:30pm-4:30pm – 3rd Training (all Counselors) – Duval Office
