For information specific to Polk County Youth Fair eligibility, please see that section below.

  • Annual Enrollment Process

Annual enrollment is a process every 4-H family will need to complete, every year. Some important reminders:

    • Youth interested in showing at Polk County Youth Fair will need to complete Steps 1-3, outlined below, by November 1.

If you anticipate needing help with the annual enrollment process, please contact the Polk County 4-H office at least 2 weeks prior to the deadline.
    • If you are a returning 4-H family, PLEASE do not create a new family or member profile in 4honline. If you do not remember your password, please use the "I forgot my password" option on 4honline.
    • Parents and Guardians are responsible for creating and maintaining family and member profiles.

To complete annual enrollment, all 4-H families will need to review and update their profile in 4honline, pay the annual enrollment fee on the Florida 4-H website, and request that their club leader confirm the youth's profile in 4honline. For detailed instructions, see below.

Step 1: Annual Enrollment on 4honline

    1. Log into 4honline with your family e-mail address and password, here: 4H Online
Please use "I forgot my password" if you need to reset your family profile password.
    2. Once you are logged into your family profile, you will click "edit" next to the individuals you wish to re-enroll.
    3. Review profile information very carefully and update all required information in the Personal Information, Authorizations, Health Form, and Participation sections of the enrollment.
Important: Remember to update clubs and projects under the participation section for each re-enrollment.
    4. Click "Submit Enrollment" to complete the 4honline portion of the annual enrollment process.

Step 2: Pay annual membership fees on Florida 4-H Website

    1. If your 4-H family is part of an in-school club or clover buds, please skip to Step 3.
    2. 4-H families, with youth ages 8-18, enrolling in community clubs and after-school clubs need to visit the Florida 4-H website to pay the community club membership fee, here: 4H Online
    3. After payment is submitted, Step 2 is complete.

Step 3: Confirmation of annual enrollment

    1. Contact the leader of your 4-H Club and request them to confirm the 4-H youth's profile in 4honline
    2. After your 4honline profile is confirmed, the 4-H member is able to participate in club activities, events, and competitions. The profile will still be marked "Pending"

Step 4: Review by Polk County 4-H office

    1. At some future date, the Polk County 4-H Office will review all 4-H youth enrollment. Profiles will officially be marked, "active," after that process.
This process can take several months.

    Tips for Success

    • The 4honline website works best when using Google Chrome or Firefox as your web browser.
If you are using an old version of Internet Explorer (IE 11 or lower), you may experience issues navigating through the 4HOnline enrollment sections.
    • Detailed instructions are available at the 4honline homepage

  • Polk County 4-H Clubs

Polk County 4-H offers more than 35 community clubs for you to choose from.

Once you choose a club(s) and project(s) to enroll in, contact the 4-H office via email (ritawest@ufl.edu) to request club leader information. Then, contact the club leader and start the annual enrollment process as detailed above.

If enrolling in more than one 4-H club, youth members must select one club as their Primary club.

The Primary club is the one that the youth member is required to fully participate in, year-round, as specified by the club’s bylaws (business meetings, project meetings, fundraisers, club promotion activities etc.).
