Sarasota County 4-H Club Listing

4-H is a community-based educational program through the University of Florida/IFAS Extension Services. Our programs are open to all youth ages 5 to 18 and provide hands-on opportunities and experiences to engage in their communities in a positive, “learn-by-doing” environment. 4-H Clubs with open membership accept members ages 8 through 18 (as of Sept. 1, for current 4-H year). Clubs that allow Cloverbud members (ages 5 through 7 as of Sept. 1) are marked "Cloverbuds accepted." Closed clubs have a limited membership and will accept members on a waiting list.

4Seas
Membership CLOSED — This club focuses on the development of leadership skills through cakes, cameras, conservation, and community service & outreach! Public speaking and ocean conservation are critical elements of this club's format. Backwoods Life of South County
Membership OPENCloverbuds accepted. This club focuses on the development of leadership skills through the care and showing of large and small animals, plants, arts and crafts, and community service projects. We are a general club welcoming all projects, and will focus on learning demonstrations, public speaking, and livestock judging this year. Clogging Clovers
Membership OPENCloverbuds accepted. This club focuses on the development of leadership skills through "clogging," which members perform at various community events. Members also are very involved in community service projects, arts and crafts, and demonstrations and illustrated talks. Club meetings are 6:30-8:30 p.m. each Monday, at Colonial Oaks Park. Crazy About Caprines

Membership OPEN — This club focuses on the development of leadership skills through the care and handling of rabbit, swine and poultry projects (goal to become APA-ABA youth members), and community service. Four Paws
Membership CLOSED (for beginners) — This club focuses on the development of leadership skills through teaching proper care and training of canines (mix or pedigree) including participation in showmanship, obedience and agility. Youth also participate in arts and crafts projects and community service. Club meets 3-5 p.m. each Sunday, at 16240 Winburn Drive. Geo Gang
Membership OPEN — This is a home-school 4-H club that meets during school hours. Each year, a different theme allows the club to focus on the development of leadership skills, career exploration, life skills, and STEM topics. The 2017-18 theme is "sparking passion." Club meets 1-4 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays each month. One meeting is a lab, the other a field trip. Mini Hooves Of Sarasota
Membership OPEN — This club focuses on the development of leadership skills by introducing youth to the horse world through small horses. Instruction is provided in all aspects of caring for and showing miniature horses. Youth also take part in other 4-H/Fair and community service projects.
