Youth Leadership Development
UF/IFAS Extension cultivates and inspires leadership in youth by administering the statewide Florida 4-H Youth Development Program. Valuing a hands-on approach to learning, 4-H provides youth with opportunities to develop skills, accrue knowledge and explore career paths with projects and events on a broad selection of topics from agriculture to robotics to mock government. The organization also offers Collegiate 4-H, volunteer positions and sponsorship opportunities, so there are myriad ways for youth and adults alike to get involved.
Visit the Florida 4-H website to learn more about the organization and its mission, or make a donation to help support 4-H. You can also explore current project options and upcoming events, read about 4-H facts and impacts, watch videos with 4-H’ers discussing their experiences, and find out about volunteering opportunities.
Read the latest Florida 4-H news releases as well as posts from UF/IFAS Extension 4-H agents concerning curriculum-based 4-H projects, special events and 4-H camp activities around the state. Because Blogs.IFAS is searchable by county, learn about local 4-H activities without leaving home.
