This program works with homeowner based environmental horticulture programs in Alachua County. Some of the program areas include: Master Gardener Volunteer Program, water usage in landscape, square foot gardens, vegetable gardens, edible fruits and Florida-Friendly Landscaping™.
The Alachua County Master Gardener Volunteer Program benefits the citizens of Alachua County by providing research-based education in gardening and environmental education topics.
The Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ program educates homeowners about how to design, install, and maintain healthy landscapes that use a minimum of water, fertilizer, and pesticides.
