Agriculture in Florida is a high impact business, accounting for an annual monetary impact of $70 billion. In 2015, Florida contained over 47,000 farms spread out over 9.45 million acres. In Baker County, we have approximately 381 farms covering almost 33,000 acres (2012 Census of Agriculture, USDA/NASS). The average farm size is just under 100 acres. The market value of products sold from these farms is almost $16 million, with 85% of that value from livestock sales.
