Speakers Bureau

Extension offers educational programs on a variety of topics. We offer classes, presentations, workshops, and other events. These are available in-person at locations around the county, as well as online webinars. But we understand you might want something tailored more to your needs. We can help.

You can request one of our experts to speak directly to you and your group. We'll come to your classroom, community room, or conference hall — anywhere you need us in Broward County. Prefer virtual? We can set up an online webinar open to your guests anywhere. Speaker availability and minimum group sizes apply. Most presentations are free, but some do charge a fee to cover the costs of materials and other expenses.

Home Vegetable Gardening 101	Learn the basics of growing vegetables at home, from choosing a location to preparing the soil. You will also understand how to select beginner-friendly plants. Finally, get important care tips like watering, fertilizing, and pest management. Enjoy a healthy and productive garden!
Landscaping with Orchids	Orchids can add elegance and color to your outdoor spaces. Learn to choose the right varieties, provide proper light, water, and support, and display them creatively in your landscape.
Micro-Greens vs Sprouts	Microgreens and sprouts are different stages of plant growth. Sprouts are seeds germinated in water and harvested within a few days. Microgreens are young plants grown in soil, harvested after their first true leaves appear. Learn how to grow both as healthy additions to your home menus.
