Escambia County 4-H EVENTS
4-H is the largest youth program in the United States. In Florida, more than 230,000 young people are involved. They are part of a national group of over 6.5 million members. 4-H teaches kids and teens through hands-on learning instead of formal classroom lessons. Florida 4-H is run by the Florida Cooperative Extension, which is part of the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS).

Escambia County provides multiple county-wide events that youth can participate in. County wide events are open to all bona fide 4-H members
District
Escambia County is part of 4-H District 1 and the Northwest Extension Administrative District.
State
All 4-H events and activities are created to give hands-on learning that supports the three main 4-H programs. These events help members grow in physical, mental, social, and emotional ways.
