The Extension's Citrus Agent's mission is to enhance productivity, profitability and environmental stewardship of Florida citrus growers through practice implementation, adoption and education using applied citrus research.
UF Citrus and Research Center
For the past 99 years, the UF CREC has been honored to assist the citrus industry in meeting its developmental needs through its Research, Extension, and Teaching programs. CREC is the oldest and largest off-campus experiment station in UF's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) and is unique among research centers in that it focuses entirely one commodity, citrus.
Highlands County Youth Citrus Project
This project is open to ALL YOUTH ages 8-18. (Participant must turn 8 prior to September 1st) Each Youth must be signed up with 4-H Online. Tree Kits are $20 Each. Each Participant can purchase up to two tree kits, but only one tree can be entered into the Highlands County Fair.
