4-H Volunteers
Adult volunteers play a vital role in the Lake County 4-H program. Volunteers are responsible for providing a safe and healthy environment for youth participating in the 4-H program by helping mentor youth, coordinate community clubs, and helping plan and run events.
Volunteers can choose to join an already existing 4-H club in their county, create their own year-round 4-H club, or volunteer for a short-term specialty club. Short-term specialty clubs are a great opportunity to teach youth a specific skill you would like to share, with a smaller time commitment. Such as photography, baking, painting, small engine repair, cake decorating, or sewing.
No matter how you choose to volunteer, 4-H volunteers are the heart of 4-H. Your time, dedication, and effort are greatly appreciated! If you are an adult not currently enrolled as 4-H volunteer, we encourage you to become a volunteer; join alongside us in the Lake County 4-H Program in helping youth gain the knowledge and life skills they need to be productive, responsible citizens.
