Our Leon County 4-H Summer Camps are led by trained, carefully screened adults who know how to create safe, supportive, and engaging experiences for kids. Each summer camp has been designed to provide a welcoming environment with enriching activities aimed to spark you child's curiosity in learning.

Week 1: Insect Camp
Join us as we learn all about insects and what makes them unique! During this camp, we will learn about insect life cycles, adaptations, insect movement and sense, habitats, and insect roles in our ecosystem.
*ALLERGY WARNING: will include exposure to local plants, bees, and honey*

Week 2: Wildlife Camp
Come spend a week with us outdoors as we learn about forestry, soils, wildlife, shooting sports, fishing, and kayaking.

Week 3: Taste of our World
Call all foodies! Cook, taste, and explore where your favorite foods come from while learning how history and the environment connect people around the world.

Week 4: Tailgate Grilling
Come learn the art and science of safely preparing meats and vegetables in an outdoor setting. Campers will also learn fire safety and the steps needed to avoid cross contamination when grilling or preparing food.

Week 6: My First Summer Camp
My First Summer Camp is a gentle, fun camp designed especially for young campers ages 5–7. Children will enjoy hands-on activities, games, crafts, and guided play that build confidence, curiosity, and friendships in a supportive environment. This camp is a great fit for both first-time campers and returning campers, with age-appropriate routines that help children feel comfortable, successful, and excited to learn each day.
