4-H Shooting Sports

Youth have the opportunity to participate in Shooting Sports through Florida 4-H. Levy County 4-H Staff and Volunteers are certified in all three disciplines: Shotgun, Rifle and Archery. Use the dropdowns below to find out more information and the requirements for each discipline.

• Archery Shooting Sports

  Age requirements: Members must be at least 8 years old as of 9/1 of the current 4-H year

  Members eligible to participate in archery are welcome to join our Archery 4-H Club, Nocked & Loaded. This club meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at the UF/IFAS Extension Levy County Office to help members learn important life skills through archery shooting sports. Members of this club also compete in many of the FL State 4-H Archery Competitions.

• Shotgun Shooting Sports

  Age Requirements: Members must be 10 years old as of 9/1 of the current 4-H year

  Through FL 4-H Shooting Sports, eligible members can participate in local Shotgun Shooting Sports Workshops held at the UF/IFAS Extension Levy County Office. At this time, there is not a SPIN Club designed for members interested in Shotgun Shooting Sports.

• Rifle Shooting Sports

  Age Requirements: Members must be 8 years old as of 9/1 of the current 4-H year

  Members who are eligible can attend and participate in local Rifle Shooting Sports Workshops held at the UF/IFAS Extension Levy County Office. At this time there is not a SPIN Club active for Rifle Shooting Sports.
