4-H Clubs

Liberty County 4-H offers a variety of clubs! We have Teen, Cloverbuds, Archery, Air Rifle, and an Explore 4-H Homeschool club! Below are summaries of our clubs and the skills and experiences each youth will gain in participating. 

Our clubs run from September to April each year. If you were enrolled last year you will need to reenroll in each club you want to participate in. Any new 4-Hers that would like to join will need to sign-up on 4HOnline. Each youth that participates in at least three of the club meetings will also earn a pin of recognition and a certificate at the end of the year! We award these to the youth at our end of the year social every year! 

Our Clubs:

Cloverbuds: For ages 5-7 as of September 1st, 2026. Cloverbuds is a club for our youngest 4-Hers. This year we will be getting into some crafting, STEM, and gardening activities! Our activities are based on Healthy Living, Ag, and Personal Development skills. This club is a great place to get your kids started in 4-H!

Teen Club: Ages 13-18 as of September 1st, 2026. For our older 4-Hers we have the Teen Club! This club is designed to encourage team building skills, leadership skills, civic engagement, and adult life skills. Some parts of this club will be self-led; we want the teens to tell us what they want to learn! We will do community service projects and earn volunteer hours!

Sewing/Textiles Club: For ages 8-18 as of September 1st, 2026. Our newest club! Sewing and Textiles will be all about the sciences behind sewing and fabrics. We will learn things like how to ID a fabric with a burn test, how to take care of our clothes, and of course SEW! We will do community service projects and learn how to present projects!

Explore 4-H Homeschool Club: For ages 8-18 as of September 1st, 2026. Explore 4-H is our club for homeschoolers! This is a monthly club for homeschool kids in our county to meet up, socialize, and learn! These kids do community service projects, learn civic engagement, and practice life skills! This club is led by both 4-H and our volunteers, so come along with your kids!

Shooting Sports Clubs: For ages 8-18 as of September 1st, 2026. We have two disciplines for Shooting Sports, Archery and Air Rifle! If there is enough interest in kids wanting to compete in local and state competitions, these two clubs will also have competition companion clubs. This is a great club for learning discipline and safety when handling air rifles and archery equipment! 
Dates: October 5th, November 16th, December 9th

Food Challenge Spin Club: Teams of 3-4 kids in each 4-H age division are given a secret ingredient then challenged to come up with, cook, and present a dish to a panel of judges! The biggest part of this challenge is the presentation! Participants will learn nutritional knowledge, kitchen and food safety, and be able to deliver a presentation and answer questions about their dish! This competition is local, district, state then national! Last year our senior team made it to state!
Dates: October 6th and 20th, November 17th, December 1st and 15th, County Competition January 7th

Getting Involved:

To join any of our clubs as a youth you need to be between the ages of 5-18 as of September 1st, depending on the club requirements.
