Who We Are
The Martin County Cooperative Extension Service is part of a nationwide partnership established by the Smith-Lever Act of 1914. These partnerships are between state land grant universities, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and local county governments. All of these groups share in the planning, financing, and operation of educational extension programs. In Florida, the Cooperative Extension Service is administered by the University of Florida.
Our Mission
To provide research-based knowledge and educational programs enabling people to make practical decisions to improve their quality of life.
