POLK COUNTY 4-H VOLUNTEERS
4-H volunteers play a vital role in fostering positive youth development by building strong developmental relationships. Through expressing care, providing support, challenging growth, sharing power, and expanding possibilities, volunteers create an environment where young people feel valued, empowered, and motivated to succeed. These relationships help youth discover their strengths, develop life skills, and contribute to their communities. By acting as mentors and role models, 4-H volunteers cultivate a network of support that nurtures confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging in every young person they serve.
