Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM Recognition
Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ (FFL) Yard Recognitions are assessments that acknowledge homeowners, communities, and properties that successfully implement Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ principles. During a recognition visit, trained evaluators review the landscape for key practices such as proper plant selection, efficient irrigation, responsible fertilizer and pesticide use, protection of water resources, and overall environmental stewardship.
FFL Yard Recognitions highlight commitment to environmentally sound landscaping and strengthen community-wide efforts to protect Florida’s unique natural resources.
- Promote sustainable landscaping: They encourage practices that conserve water, reduce pollution, and protect Florida’s natural ecosystems.
- Support community standards: Recognized properties serve as examples for HOAs, managers, and neighbors, demonstrating that attractive landscapes can also be environmentally responsible.
- Enhance property value and resilience: Florida-friendly landscapes often require less maintenance, are more drought- and pest-tolerant, and contribute to healthier, more resilient communities.
- Encourage education and engagement: They empower residents and communities to learn about sustainable landscaping and make informed decisions.
We offer 4 types of Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM recognition:
- FFL Home Landscape
- FFL Natural
- FFL Commercial and Common Area
- FFL New Construction
