Summer Camp

Summer Camp Information has moved. Scroll down the page to see summer camp links with camp week information and direct enrollment links.

  • Wakulla 4-H Summer Day Camps

    UF/IFAS Extension Wakulla County 4-H will offer 6 summer day camps for various ages and skill levels this year. Each camp will have a different theme. Programming is structured to promote learning and creativity. Campers will experience learning through hands-on activities and instruction. Fees include lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, all activities, and materials.
    Location: 84 Cedar Ave, Crawfordville, FL 32327
    Time: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday. 
    Dates: 
    Week 1 - June 8-11 Beyond Curious Ages 7 - 12        Fee: $250.00 per child 
    Week 2 - June 15-18 Crafty Creations Ages 7-12        Fee: $250.00 per child
    Week 3 - June 22-25 Petals and Paws Ages 7-12        Fee: $250.00 per child
    Week 4 - July 6-9 Paper and Clay Ages 7-12            Fee: $250.00 per child 
    Week 5 - July 13-16 Fun with Food Ages 8-12 only        Fee: $250.00 per child
    Week 6 - July 20-23 Archery Ages 8-12 only            Fee: $250.00 per child

    Payments

    A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required for each week your child is registered.  The deposit must be paid within 5 business days to complete the approval (March – April). The balance will be due by Friday May 1, 2026. Your child will not be approved and registered until the deposit/s have been received.  If you register after May 1, 2026, full payment will be required within 5 business days. All payments must be made in person at the Wakulla County Extension Office, 84 Cedar Ave, Crawfordville, FL. The office is open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for payments. There is a drop-box for after hours. We can accept cash, check or credit cards. Please make checks payable to Wakulla County Extension.

    Wakulla County 4-H 2026 Summer Day Camp Descriptions

    June 8-11 – Beyond Curious - Ages 7-12. Activities will be designed to spark curiosity in science, technology, engineering and math. Creative experiments and activities will encourage campers to use problem solving and critical thinking skills. Many of the activities will involve using Lego bricks for design. 

    June 15-18 – Crafty Creations – Ages 7 - 12. Activities will include basic to advanced crafting techniques. Activities will focus on creativity, imagination, and self-expression using various techniques and media. Campers will work with a local artist to create their own canvas painting.

    June 22-25 – Petals and Paws - Ages 7-12.  Activities will focus on plants and animals of Florida. Campers will learn all about plants from seeds to flowers, and farm to table. Campers will learn about animal classification, habitats, and behavior. Activities will include hands-on learning, craft activities and demonstrations.  Live animals will be present throughout the week. 

    July 6-9 - Paper and Clay Crafts - Ages 7-12. Activities will focus on paper and clay in art and craft designs. The crafts will be designed to challenge campers through the use of fine motor skills, creativity and imagination. 

    July 13-16 – Fun with Food - Ages 8 to 12. *Please note that meats, fruits, spices, herbs, wheat, peanuts, nuts, soy, eggs, and dairy will be used in the cooking activities. *
    Activities will focus on cooking skills, safety, and nutrition. Campers will learn different methods of cooking and will be introduced to the 4-H Food Challenge Contest curriculum.  Youth will work individually and in groups.

    July 20-23 –Archery- Ages 8-12. Campers will be introduced to the sport of archery using Genesis compound bows. Activities will focus on learning hand and eye coordination, proper archery techniques, sportsmanship, and improving self-confidence.

  • Specialty Summer Camps

    Wakulla County 4-H Specialty Summer Camps 2026

     

    Kitchen Creations - Learn the basics of being a good cook, from measuring properly to basic knife skills. Create simple and delicious meals for you and your fellow campers. Make new friends and have fun! Snacks and bottled water included. Campers are encouraged to eat what they make but are welcome to bring their own lunch.

    Ages: 12 – 17                                                                                    Fee: $175.00 per child

    Dates: Tuesday, June 2 – Thursday, June 4                        Time:  10:00 AM to 3:00 PM   

    Location: Wakulla County Extension Office, 84 Cedar Ave, Crawfordville, FL 32327

     

    Youth Fit Camp – Youth will explore the world of wellness with hands-on experiences that will include physical fitness, weightlifting, nutrition, and strategies for healthy living. Lunch, snacks, and materials included. Please see dates for specific age groups.

    Ages: 8-13

    Dates:

    Week 1 – June 1 - 4

    Week 2 – June 29 – July 2

    Week 3 – July 6 - 9

    Fee: $250.00 per child, per week                                           Time: 9AM to 4:00 PM
