Washington County 4-H

4-H is a nationwide youth development program. 4-H gives youth (ages 5-18) opportunities to develop their learn, have fun, develop amazing friendships, and grow as leaders. We offer hands-on learning opportunities for their Heads, Hearts, Hands, and Health through clubs, day camps, and school enrichment. 

4-H Clubs

4-H Clubs have on-going programs that can meet at different locations and times during the school year. 4-H club members are eligible to participate in other county, district, and state 4-H programs. Below is a list of our 2025-2026 4-H Clubs. If you're interested in your child joining 4-H, contact us!

  • Baking Buddies 4-H Club - Bake with friends & learn the science behind baking. Meets in the Ag Center kitchen.
    Ages 8-10  .  Club Dues $40  .  Contact Amber Scurlock - amberscurlock@gmail.com 
  • Blazing Hooves 4-H Club - Learn all about horses, equine science, and horsemanship. Meets at Nina's home. 
    Ages 8-18  .  Club Dues $10  .  Contact: Nina Davis - nmath2@gmail.com
  • Chick Chain 4-H Club - Learn all about raising chicks to laying age, poultry science, and showmanship. You'll compete in our district-wide spring poultry show, showmanship competition, and fun skill-a-thon. Dues include 4 chicks. Meets on Zoom September-December and in-person February and March at the Ag Center.

  • Livestock 4-H Club - Learn all about beef cattle and swine, livestock judging, and showmanship. Meets in the Ag Center.

  • LEGO Masters 4-H Club - Join your friends and create with LEGO! Meets in the Ag Center.
    Ages 5-10  .  Club Dues $20  .  Contact: Adam Weiland - adamlweiland@gmail.com 
  • Sure Shots 4-H Club - learn the games of skeet, trap, and sporting clays, outdoor sportsmanship, and safety. Meets at Hard Labor Creek Shooting Sports Range. 
    Ages 11-18  .  Club Dues $100 recreational team or $200 competition team  .  Contact: Kevin Fussell - kjf0611@yahoo.com

  • Enroll in 4-H at 4honline
  • You'll choose both a club and project for your 4-Her during enrollment. Here's the list of 4-H clubs and projects:

    • Chick Chain 4-H Club - Poultry project or Cloverbud
    • Livestock 4-H Club - Beef, Poultry, Swine, and/or Animal Science project

For Volunteers

4-H Clubs are led by caring, knowledgeable, skilled, and amazing volunteers. Whether you want to lead a workshop for one day or lead a monthly club during the 4-H year or judge a competitive event, we welcome your involvement!
