Water Quality and Conservation with Bellamy Beaver

. . . . .

Who is Bellamy Beaver?

Bellamy Beaver is the Columbia County Extension mascot and a friendly ambassador for water education. Bellamy helps teach both youth and adults about the importance of protecting water resources through interactive lessons, activities, and community programs.

Bellamy Beaver in Schools

In Columbia County schools, Bellamy Beaver brings water education to life! Through interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and fun photo opportunities, Bellamy helps students understand the importance of the natural water resources in Columbia County.

Turn off the Tap

Bellamy Beaver’s slogan is “Turn Off the Tap.” He reminds youth and adults that by simply turning off the tap while brushing their teeth, they can save up to four gallons of water each time. It’s a fun and easy way to protect our water resources!
