How to Become A 4-H Volunteer
The steps to become a 4-H volunteer aren't too complicated.
First, you want to print out the County Volunteer Application and the State Volunteer Application, fill them out, and bring them to the Extension Office to be processed.
Once we receive the County Application, we will call the references listed. After the reference check comes back, we will conduct an interview, and then submit the State Application (which will also need to be notarized) to Sophia Cooney, State 4-H Volunteer Coordinator. Once she receives the completed application, Ms. Cooney will contact you to schedule screening. All Florida 4-H Volunteers are FBI Level 2 Background Checked to ensure the safety of all 4-H youth.
