Agriculture is part of everyone’s life, and Ag Day is a great time to celebrate the food and resources it provides across Florida.

What is 4-H Agriculture Day?

4‑H Agriculture Day gives clubs the chance to teach local kids about why agriculture matters and how it affects their lives every day, even when they don’t notice it.

Taylor Annual 4-H Ag Day

The annual 4‑H Agriculture Day brings together 5th‑grade classes from Taylor County Elementary School, Steinhatchee Elementary, and Point of Grace Christian. The event is held at the Taylor County Extension Office. Volunteers share their knowledge through eleven stations that highlight agriculture and natural resources that affect both our county and state

Stations featured exciting topics like the State Forestry Division and Four Rivers Timber and Land, showing how trees become everyday products; Farm Bureau, teaching about farming; FWC, sharing reptiles, and FDACS station on bees, plus more. At the end, kids got to see reptiles, aquatic animals, and bees up close.

• Plant a kitchen garden
• Visit local farms to show your children where their food comes from

4‑H Agriculture Day would not be possible without the help of dedicated volunteers, clubs, families, organizations, and businesses that share their knowledge, animals, products, and donations. Agriculture is an important part of Florida’s history, economy, and future.
