Our program focuses on the challenges and opportunities facing Bradford County small farms and aims to educate the next generation of small farmers. Our agent provides science-based information, hands-on activities, and educational assistance to develop the skills and competencies needed to start in the agricultural industry. Serving both part-time and full-time farmers, our program consists of a wide range of activities that benefit small and backyard farms, such as field trips, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.

PESTICIDE LICENSING

Our office provides testing for multiple licenses under Chapter 482, 487 and 388 of Florida's Statues. For more information and scheduling pesticide exams, please call our office at (904) 966-6224 to speak with our Agent Luke Harlow.

SCHOOL GARDENS

The community and school garden program support garden-related projects that enhance the nutrition, health and wellness, environment, academics and cultural atmosphere of community organizations and schools. The program provides education and technical assistance to community groups and schools to equip them with the tools they need to develop vibrant gardens and to cultivate outdoor learning environments.

FLORIDA MASTER GARDENERS

The Florida Master Gardener Program is a volunteer-driven program that benefits UF/IFAS Extension and the citizens of Florida. The program relies on dedicated volunteers who have an interest in gardening and in giving back to their communities.
