Suwannee River Fair Requirements
Requirements
Levy County 4-H members must complete the following requirements to be eligible to show in the Suwannee River Fair.
- Enroll in 4HOnline by November 1st of the current 4-H year.
- Attend at least 3 club meetings by January 25th.
- Attend at least 1 higher-than-club-level event.
- Complete at least 1 community service project with your club.
**It is the members' responsibility to ensure that all requirements have been fulfilled. Eligibility will be determined by the turned in sign-in sheets we receive from leaders.

County Events
What are County Events?
Demonstrations and speeches held in a contest setting for Juniors, Intermediates, and Seniors in various categories. Placings are awarded based on achievement of standards and peer competition; judges give scores and evaluative comments. Qualifiers for the District level events are selected at the County level. County events may also include share-the-fun, graphic design contest, or even participation opportunities for cloverbud members. Cloverbud members will receive participation ribbons and junior-senior members will be awarded blue, red and white ribbons dependent on the judge's scores.
Demonstrations/Illustrated Talks & Public Speaking
Demonstrations/Illustarted Talks: Juniors & Intermediates: 3-12 minutes, Seniors: 5-12 minutes
Public Speaking: Juniors & Intermediates: 3-7 minutes, Seniors: 5-7 minutes, Horse Category: 8-10 minutes

Standards of Excellence
FL 4-H Standards of Excellence
The Florida 4-H program supports an awards and recognition process that recognizes youth for their progress towards goals. Youth document their progress through the Standards of Excellence forms found on the Awards and Recognition page of the 4-H website (https://florida4h.ifas.ufl.edu/youth/awards-and-recognition/standard-of-excellence/). Awards are Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Emerald.

County Council Officer Application
What happens at County Council?
County Council meetings consist of a business portion that is led by the officers and includes a recreational activity. During the business portion of the meeting, members are caught up on past and future events and programs and are involved in making decisions for the county as a whole (fundraisers, events, t-shirts, etc.). We'd love to have you check it out and for your voice to be heard!
