There are so many ways to get involved in Pinellas 4-H!
4-H Clubs
Our 4-H clubs meet regularly and provide a supportive environment for youth to explore different interests, develop leadership skills, and participate in community service. 4-H Clubs are led by youth officers with the help of dedicated adult volunteers. Club members do hands-on activities to learn more about a specific subject area. This is a 4-H project. Some clubs select a different project to focus on each year, while others stick with the same project to build up their skills and knowledge year after year! The best way to learn more about a specific club and its project focus is to reach out to the Club Leader.

Competitions and Special Events
As 4-H youth grow in their skills and leadership, members can take part in a wide variety of activities beyond their clubs at the local, state, and national levels! Showcase your talents in competitions like Insectathon or Public Speaking—or grow your leadership skills at events such as iLEAD, 4-H Legislature, and Ignite by National 4-H. Whether you’re competing, networking, or learning something new, these unique opportunities let you explore interests, make new friends, and develop confidence along the way!
Volunteer Opportunities
Pinellas County 4-H thrives because of our dedicated adult volunteers! By sharing your time and talents, you can help shape the next generation of leaders, innovators, and community-minded citizens.
- Club Leaders & Co-Leaders: Guide youth as they explore interests, develop leadership skills, and engage in hands-on learning. Club leaders facilitate regular meetings, support youth-led activities, and mentor young people in their project areas.
- Event & Camp Volunteers: Support our workshops, competitions, day camps, and other special events throughout the year. These short-term commitments offer flexibility while making a significant impact.
- Advisory Committee Members: Help shape the future of our program by serving on the 4-H Association, providing guidance on program development, fiscal operations, and community connections.
