The UF/IFAS Pinellas County Commercial Horticulture Program provides education and training based on the latest research from the University of Florida. The Commercial Horticulture staff is available to help solve horticulture problems, identify plants and insects, provide training, CEUs and pesticide testing, answer pesticide licensing questions, and improve the quality of life for all citizens.
Licensing
The State of Florida requires that most professionals that apply pesticides as part of their job be certified to legally apply ANY pesticides (even Round-Up). Testing
Pesticide testing is given at Weedon Island preserve on the FIRST &THIRD FRIDAY OF THE MONTH, please arrive prior to 9 AM. All exams are computer based, a voucher is needed to schedule an exam.
