Archery Club
Archery Club
- Ages 8-18. Introduction to the sport of archery. Learn archery fundamentals, sportsmanship and safety.
New Members - For all first-time members. The club is designed to introduce youth members to the sport of archery. Youth will learn the fundamentals of archery, and work toward mastering their skills and knowledge. We use Genesis compound bows (6-20lb draw weight). All bows and equipment will be provided. No outside bows permitted.
Returning Members – For all returning club members who have participated in the 2024-25 club year or Archery Summer Day Camp 2025. Members will continue to work on the fundamental skills of archery. We use Genesis compound bows (8-20lb draw weight). All bows and equipment will be provided. Personal Genesis compound bows excepted once they have been approved. No sighted bows.
Returning members with sighted bows – For returning members with sighted bows. Members with sighted bows will work on mastering the fundamentals and accuracy. All bows must be set below 22 pounds.

- The club is designed to introduce youth members to the sport of archery. Youth will learn the fundamentals of archery, and work toward mastering their skills and knowledge. We use Genesis compound bows (8-20lb draw weight).

- Open to ages 8 to 18 (based on age as of September 1, 2025)
- Online registration and membership payment required before approval. Must be an approved member to participate in club activities.
- Club registration will close on October 31, 2025. Members must attend their first meeting before December 1, 2025.
- Meetings are designed to have members at the same level of experience together at the same time.
- Each group will be limited to 12 youth.
- Club will meet one Monday a month, September 2024 through March 2026. See listed dates.
- All equipment provided.
- Closed toe shoes required! No Crocs. This is a 4-H shooting sports requirement.
- No outside bows accepted unless previously approved. All bows must have a draw weight of less than 22 pounds.
- Parent/Guardian age 21 and over are required to be present for the club meeting for all youth under the age of 16.
- Florida 4-H offers several state archery competitions throughout the year. The matches require shooting at distances we cannot accommodate at the county facility. If youth would like to participate at any of the state events, we encourage you to visit some of the local ranges for more practice. Please contact us for more information.
- Youth interested in competing at state level archery events must meet requirements in skill proficiency to qualify for approval.

Art Lab Club
Art Lab Club
- Ages 11-18. Self-expression using different types of art.
This is a club for youth to come and express themselves through art. Each month we will dive into different styles that include recycled, eclectic, charcoal, collage, neon painting, and self-expression. Youth will be able to submit pieces to the fair in November. We will host a holiday card making night as our club service project and will finish the year with an Art Show by the Youth.

The Clay Makers 4-H Club will offer classes for ceramic art instruction. The Fall series will offer members the opportunity to create art to enter into the North Florida Fair 4-H Exhibits Department. The Spring classes will offer members the opportunity to create art to enter into the Wakulla County 4-H Showcase. Members must be able to attend both meetings of each session. Mission:
To promote awareness, understanding, and respect of Florida’s natural world among Florida’s youth through a learn-by-doing approach that provides opportunities for young people to contribute to the environment and world around them.
Requirements:
This club follows a curriculum created by the Florida Youth Naturalist Program. The curriculum requires that members attend 8 meetings and at least 2 “ecosystem” field trips for a total of 24 hours of study. Upon completion of the requirement, members will receive a certificate, a pin, and a string backpack with logo.

- Online registration and membership fee required. Youth must be registered to participate in any club activities. Space is limited.
- Club registration will close on October 31, 2025. Members must attend their first meeting before December 1, 2025.
- The club will meet on the first Saturday of each month, September 2025 through March 2026. Weather permitting. No meeting in December 2025.
- Meeting time 9:00AM to 10:30AM.
- Location - Wakulla County Sheriff’s Range, 65 Qualify Ln, Sopchoppy, FL 32358
- Parent/Guardian age 21 and over are required to be present for the club meeting for all youth under the age of 16. Club leaders must be notified if members 16 and over will be attending alone.
- Fee of $10.00 for each club meeting.
- All equipment provided.
- Youth may use their own shotgun (Must be approved by instructors before use).
- Closed toe shoes required! No Crocs. Boots preferred. Long pants recommended.
- Wakulla County has a competition level shotgun team. Youth ages 11 to 18 may qualify for the team. Youth must be approved and be able to safely operate the shotgun independently and confidently with the ability to complete 150 rounds of fire (50 each in Sporting Clays, Skeet and Trap). Additional practices, fees, and travel are required. Please contact club leaders for more information.
