Highlands County 4-H Agent: Ashley Houpe-King Stewart

4-H is the youth development program of the University of Florida and other land-grant universities. This program provides children and young adults ages 5 to 18 the opportunity to learn life skills they need to be productive members of society, responsible citizens, and future leaders. 4-H encourages “learning by doing” to teach these skills. 4-H ensures that each youth will have a safe and inclusive learning environment, led by caring adults, to explore content based on university research. Popular programs in Highlands County are Shooting Sports, Livestock and Animals, Plant Science, Leadership, and Citizenship.

4HOnline is a web-based system used to enroll youth members and adult volunteers in the UF-IFAS 4-H Youth Development Program. 4HOnline is designed so that each family has an online family profile and every youth and volunteer has an individual profile under their family profile. These profiles can be managed by the family.
