Meet the Agent
Ebony Griffin - Family & Consumer Sciences Agent
Ebony Griffin joined Extension in 2018 through the Family Nutrition Program in Broward County, starting as a part-time office assistant before stepping into the role of nutrition educator. She went on to serve as Extension Program Manager for the North Central Region for four years, where she supervised six Nutrition Educators across seven counties. In 2024, Ebony joined the state team as the Youth Program Specialist and now brings her passion and experience to Alachua County as the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Agent.
Ebony holds a Master of Science in Education from Nova Southeastern University and spent nearly a decade teaching K–12 general education and theatre in Broward County schools and community youth programs. A certified chef and proud graduate of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, she specializes in American and French cuisine. Ebony also brings a creative background in radio, publishing, and online cooking content.
In her role as FCS Agent, Ebony is excited to blend her love for food, education, and community through programs in food preservation, food safety, culinary arts, food entrepreneurship, and community outreach—and much more.
