Horticulture and Small Farms

. . . . .

This program has two main goals. First, it helps people in Bradford County learn how to take care of their yards and gardens in ways that help the environment. Some of the topics include saving water, growing vegetables and fruits, using Florida-Friendly Landscaping™, and the Master Gardener Volunteer Program.

Second, the program helps small farmers in the county. It gives advice on choosing and growing crops, beekeeping, hydroponics (growing plants without soil), and dealing with pests or plant diseases. It also offers help through one-on-one visits or phone calls.

Home Landscaping and Horticulture

Home landscaping helps people and businesses take care of their yards. It gives tips on choosing the right plants and grass, and how to keep them healthy.

UF/IFAS Bradford County Master Gardener Program

The Bradford County Master Gardener Volunteer Program helps people in the county by teaching them about gardening and the environment using trusted science-based information.

Small Farms and Community Food Production

The Small Farms program helps part-time and full-time farmers in Bradford County. It focuses on the challenges they face and teaches the next generation of farmers how to be successful.
