Creating Strong, Healthy, and Engaged Communities
At UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County, our Work & Life programs help residents thrive in both their personal and professional lives. Through research-based education focused on civic participation and mental well-being, we support individuals, families, and communities in building healthy, resilient, and engaged lifestyles.
Mental Health & Wellbeing
Mental well-being is the foundation of how we think, feel, and function in daily life. It influences how we manage stress, maintain relationships, make decisions, and support others.
Citizens Academy
Civic engagement is about working together to improve the quality of life in your community. It includes understanding how local government works, developing the confidence to participate in public processes, and building skills that help residents collaborate, lead, and create positive change.
Advocacy Training
EmpowerU is a hybrid training program designed to equip participants with the skills to engage meaningfully with decision-makers using science-based information.
