Indian River County Environmental Horticulture
The goal of the Environmental Horticulture program is to educate Indian River County residents to foster a love of Florida's unique natural environment. This department will enrich lives through teaching proper landscape plant selection and maintenance. Educating and assisting Indian River County residents and industry professionals are important features of this program.
Become a Volunteer
Master Gardener volunteers help the Environmental Horticulture Agent by answering homeowners' lawn and garden questions. They also help with community and school gardens. Master Gardeners may give horticultural seminars and demonstrations. Residents can find Master Gardener Volunteers at local garden-themed festivals and events booths. For more information, see the Indian River County Master Gardener page or contact Nickie Munroe, Environmental Horticulture Agent at Lnmunroe@ufl.edu
