UF/IFAS Extension Soil Testing

There are two easy ways to submit a soil sample for testing:

1. Bring your sample to the Jefferson County UF/IFAS Extension Office:
   • Our resident Agriculture Agent will walk you through the testing process.
   • The agent will help you determine which test form you need.
   • Complete the form in our office and we'll send your sample(s) for you.
   • A Check or Money Order must be made payable to the University of Florida for the correct test fee amount. (Cash is not accepted)

2. Determine the reason for your soil test and choose from our Soil Lab forms.  Mail the sample, with the completed form and a Check or Money Order for the correct test fee amount, directly to our University of Florida Soil Lab.

Please note:

• We do not do in-house soil testing. Samples are sent to the University of Florida Soil Lab in Gainesville, FL.
• Results are sent via email. If no email address is provided, a paper copy will be sent to the physical mailing address listed on the form.
