4-H "Make the Best Better"

4-H helps youth succeed in life by building skills like responsibility, resiliency, and hard work through hands-on learning and education. The Okaloosa County Extension Office strives to inspire and empower youth to create change through youth leadership and development.

In 4-H, young people make new friends, develop skills, become leaders, and get involved in their communities.

  • Youth Enrollment

    Okaloosa County 4-H Youth

    Who

    • 4-H is open to all youth, ages 5-18, determined as of September 1 of the current 4-H program year (September 1-August 31). 
    • Age Divisions
      • Cloverbuds: ages 5-7 (participate, but do not compete)
      • Junior: ages 8-10
      • Intermediate: ages 11-13
      • Senior: ages 14-18

    How to enroll

    The Florida 4-H year is September 1-August 31. 

    Complete enrollment online on 4-H Online

    The Florida 4-H Youth Development Program requires an annual $20.00 membership fee for community club members who are 4-H age 8-18 years old
