4-H/Youth Development Program
Did you know that America’s largest Youth Development organization, 4-H, has a local office in Charlotte County? In cooperation with the University of Florida (Florida’s Land Grant University), Charlotte County 4-H provides educational experiences for Charlotte County youth ages 5-18 to learn by doing. Youth participating in 4-H have the opportunity to complete a wide variety of hands-on projects on topics such as agriculture, science, health, gardening, leadership and more. This is made possible through creating a safe environment to receive instruction and guidance through youth adult partnerships with screened and trained adults.
Charlotte County 4-H welcomes young people of all beliefs and backgrounds and provides all youth the opportunity to have a voice and express who they are and how they can make their lives and their community better! Are you ready for your kids to experience 4-H through one of their many opportunities – in school, after-school, community clubs, day camps or residential camp?
