UF/IFAS is here to help! Our office is open for business and fully functional. At this time, we are open to the public by appointment only beginning on Monday, June 8th, 2020. If you find yourself needing to see someone in person, you are strongly encouraged to call the office for an appointment with the appropriate person. While not all faculty and staff will be in the office Monday through Friday, each of us will be available certain days. We will continue offering a variety of educational and interactive programs via platforms such as Zoom. We are also more than happy to help answer your questions and find solutions for your life via email, Facebook, or other digital communication.

4-H Hernando County


The Florida 4-H Youth Development Program uses a learn-by-doing approach and caring adults to help youth gain the knowledge and life skills they need to be productive, responsible citizens.To achieve its mission, 4-H accesses the expertise and resources of the University of Florida and a nationwide network of Cooperative Extension Service faculty and staff. Florida 4-H aspires to be the leading youth development program that creates positive change in youth, families, and communities. 4-H is open to all youth, ages 5-18, determined as of September 1 of the current 4-H program year and open to all counties in FL.

4-H Camp Cherry Lake

Camp Cherry Lake is a place to grow, find peace, and make friends. Located on scenic Cherry Lake, rustic cabins, an open-air pavilion, and a dining hall are nestled among live oaks on a gently sloping bank. Children must be between 8-13 years of age, and registration opens on May 1st. Camp dates are from July 22nd, 2019 through July 26th, 2019.

4-H Club List *NEW for 2019-2020 4-H year*

All clubs are open to all youth ages 5-18 (as of Sept. 1 of program year). Please contact leaders directly for further information.
