Agriculture is a central component of Marion County and to support this essential component we offer a wide variety of programs and one-on-one consultations. Whether you have a large farm, a small garden, or want to start one, the UF/IFAS Marion County Extension Service is here to help.

Livestock Production

Caitlin Justesen is the Marion County Livestock Agent. Her programs assist landowners with beef cattle production, equine management, pond and pasture management, and agricultural best management practices.

Mark Bailey is the Marion County Sustainable Agriculture Agent. His programs assist farmers with food crops, farm operations, poultry and small livestock production such as goats and sheep.
