These flexible courses cover essential topics like pest management, soil health, irrigation, and best practices to help growers, landscapers, and agri-business professionals stay informed and successful.

Mangroves for Healthy Shorelines

Mangroves are an essential part of our Florida coast. They protect our shores from wind and waves, support fisheries and coral reefs, and help prevent pollutants from entering our estuaries. Landscapers can educate their clients on the importance of mangroves and the regulations around pruning or removing them. This workshop offers FDACs CEUs for licensed professionals and a certificate of completion for all participants.

Landscape Fertilization in Florida

This workshop is designed to provide FDACS-certified fertilizer applicators and other landscape professionals with guidance on the efficient, environmentally friendly use of fertilizers in the Floridian landscape. FDACS CEUs will be offered.

Landscaping for Wildlife

Summer CEU Series

The Protecting Florida's Resources 2025 Summer BMP CEU Series will be held on Wednesdays, 12:30 to 2:45, from June 11 through July 23. Topics will include: Biodiversity in our parks and yards, Water Quality protection, Chainsaw safety, Green infrastructure, Poisonous/harmful plants, and Living with wildlife. Green Industry Best Management Practices

The Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) teaches science-based landscaping practices that help conserve and protect Florida's water. A GI-BMP training certificate is required by Florida law for fertilizer applicators to get their Limited Fertilizer Applicator Certification. The next class will be offered June 17, 2025.
