Event Title: Green Industry Best Management Practices Certification Workshop

This free 4-part training program provides participants with the training required to become certified in the Green industry Best Management Practices (GI-BMP). GI-BMP certification is required to obtain a license to apply fertilizer products commercially in the state of Florida. The GI-BMPs are environmentally-safe landscaping practices that help conserve and protect Florida's ground and surface waters and natural resources. The science-based program for Green Industry professionals is brought to you by the UF/IFAS Florida Friendly LandscapingTM program and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. A total of 4 FDACS CEUs will be offered in the following categories: 482/487 Core (2 CEUs), Private Applicator (2), O&T (2), LUF (2), LCLM (2), LLO (2), and CLO (2). Class will be offered in English or Spanish, depending on registrant preference.

Advance registration is required. To register, contact the House of Hope Golden Gate Center for Enrichment at 772-286-4673 x1600. Class dates are: April 14, 21, 28, and May 5. All four classes must be attended to obtain the certification.
