Horticulture in Washington County
Gardening and Landscaping Help
We share helpful tips based on research for growing and caring for Florida-friendly lawns, landscapes, fruit trees, and vegetable gardens. We also offer training and resources for people who work with plants and for those who use pesticides and fertilizers.
Master Gardener Volunteers
Master Gardener Volunteers work with UF/IFAS Extension Washington County to teach people in Florida about gardening. They help by:
- Answering gardening questions by phone or in person
- Helping with community and school gardens
- Giving talks and programs to the public
- Supporting 4-H youth activities
- Working in or managing the demonstration garden
- Joining community service projects
