UF/IFAS Aquatic and Wetland Plant Sciences Lab
Lab leader Dr. Lyn Gettys is an Associate Professor of Agronomy (Aquatic and Wetland Plant Science) and has been based at the University of Florida IFAS Fort Lauderdale Research and Education Center in Davie since 2012. Lab members include Dr. Megan Reid, Dr. Chad Keates, Jennifer Bishop, Madison (Mady) Self, Gabriella (Gaby) Rodriguez, Sebastian Palmieri, and Garcy Monplaisir. Our research focuses on the biology and ecology of native and introduced aquatic and wetland plants and evaluation of control methods for managing invasive species. Dr. Gettys has statewide Extension responsibilities for aquatic plant programming in addition to providing leadership for the UF/IFAS Aquatic Weed Control Short Course.
