As part of our mission to provide practical education for building a better future, Extension offers educational programs on a variety of topics. While we offer an array of classes, presentations, workshops and other events both in-person at locations around the county and as online webinars, we understand that you might like something tailored more to your needs. We can help.

You can request one of our experts to speak directly to you and your group. We'll come to your classroom, community room, conference hall or just about anywhere you need us in Broward County, or we'll work with you to establish a virtual, online webinar open to your guests anywhere. Speaker availability and minimum group sizes apply. Note that while most of our presentations are free, some do charge a fee to cover the costs of materials and other expenditures.

Home Vegetable Gardening 101	Learn the basics of growing vegetables at home, including how to choose the right location, prepare the soil, and select beginner-friendly plants. Participants learn important care tips such as watering, fertilizing, and managing pests to enjoy a healthy and productive garden.
Landscaping with Orchids	Landscaping with Orchids involves using these beautiful plants to add elegance and color to outdoor spaces. The program teaches how to choose the right orchid varieties, provide proper light, water, and support, and creatively arrange and display them in outdoor settings.
Micro-Greens vs Sprouts	Microgreens and sprouts are different stages of plant growth; sprouts are seeds germinated in water and harvested within a few days, while microgreens are young plants grown in soil and harvested after their first true leaves appear. Learn how to grow these healthy additions to your home menus.
