St. Johns County 4-H Youth Development Program

4-H is a joint effort of local county governments, the University of Florida and the United States Department of Agriculture.  4-H is a community of young people across America learning leadership, citizenship and life skills.  As one of our nation's oldest, yet most current organizations, 4-H is reaching millions of young people with positive youth development opportunities.

Join 4-H

There are many ways to get involved with St. Johns County 4-H.  Learn all about 4-H.  The 2025-2026 club list is found here. If you like what you see, join 4-H or become a volunteer.

Events and Activities

St. Johns County 4-H offers events and activities in several project areas including holiday themed activities like holiday craft night or the Sweet Corn Project and social events like the 4-H Barn Dance.

Youth Leadership

This is where you will find information on the Teen Leadership Council, officer training videos and resources, along with information on state 4-H leadership opportunities.

4-H News and Videos

The 4-H Office reaches out in several ways.  To keep up with the latest happenings, check out our weekly electronic newsletter, 4-H News and Notes.  You can also watch department-produced videos.

Contests

Whether you want to compete at the county level or move on to district and state contests, the information you need to do so is right here.  You'll find contest rules, dates, scoresheets (if used), and registration information.

Scholarships & Awards

4-H gives youth the chance to be recognized for their efforts by setting goals, charting progress, and meeting the goal.  Information on continuing education scholarships & applications, Clover Award applications & instructions, and project reports with record book instructions is found here.

 

4-H in the Classroom

Schools provide 4-H the opportunity to reach youth beyond the club.  Materials for these important initiatives, including embryology and 4-H Public Speaking by FPL, can be found here.

Club Leader Resources

Club leaders make 4-H the engaging educational program that it is.  Here club leaders will find the information needed to help make the club run effectively.

4-H Office

The 4-H office is made up of staff and faculty through whose efforts, youth and volunteers are able to get the most out of St. Johns County 4-H.  A printable calendar, fundraising, resources, and staff contact information and project areas of responsibility can all be found here.
