4-H Youth Development

4-H is one of the biggest youth programs in the United States. It helps kids learn new skills by doing hands-on activities outside of school. In Florida, 4-H is part of the University of Florida’s Extension Service. Walton County 4-H has many fun things for kids to try like arts, STEM, public speaking, and shooting sports. We are proud to offer something for everyone!

4-H Youth

Research (Tufts University) shows that kids in 4‑H are successful. They tend to get better grades and make better choices. They are also more likely to help their community. In 4‑H, youth learn life skills, make friends, and work to make the world a better place.

Our 4-H Programs

Walton County 4‑H helps kids learn and grow in many fun, different ways. We have clubs, school programs, day camps, and more. Our programs use approved lessons from UF/IFAS Extension. These lessons are safe, trusted, and coordinate with Florida school standards.

4-H Volunteers

4-H utilizes volunteers to support our goal to help youth. We want youth to learn life skills they need to be successful. Volunteers provide youth the confidence they need to become the leaders of tomorrow. Come share your knowledge and skills to shape our future leaders!
