Landscape and Stormwater Best Management Practices
Best Management Practices (BMPs) are guidelines for planning, design, installation, and maintenance of landscapes and stormwater ponds. BMPs promote aesthetically pleasing landscapes and environmental protection by focusing on conserving water, preserving beneficial organisms, improving soil conditions, reducing stormwater and irrigation runoff, reducing fertilizer and pesticide use, allowing space and natural food sources for wildlife, and maintaining the health of plants and waterbodies.
