The Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Program is dedicated to providing science-based information and educational programming throughout the community to empower individuals and families to make informed decisions about their well-being and to be able to make changes to improve their health and quality of life.  The Family and Consumer Sciences Department provides education in the areas of food and nutrition, chronic disease, weight management, disease prevention, food safety, and financial management.
