  • Sustainable Agriculture Virtual Camp (Year-round)

Alachua County youth are invited to participate in the Alachua County 4-H Virtual Sustainable Agriculture Camp year-round. Topics covered in the camp include chickens, gardening, livestock, food, and more. This camp will be a self-paced experience with all of the materials available on Google Classroom. The recommended pace is to view a topic per week and reach out to the corresponding Extension Agent as needed. Youth do not need to be enrolled in 4-H to participate.

Click here to sign-up and to view materials.

  • Alachua 4-H Summer Day Camps

Each summer, Alachua County 4-H offers a variety of day camps open to all youth in the county (not just 4-H members). These camps typically run from 9am-3pm with drop-off starting at 8am and pickup going until 4pm. Some of our past camps have included Aqua Adventures, Wilderness Survival, All About Insects, and more.

For a listing of this year's camps, see our 2022 Alachua 4-H Summer Day Camps Flyer.

For all day camps, registration must be completed through 4-H Online in conjunction with paying through Eventbrite. For non-4-H'ers, visit v2.4honline.com to create a member profile, and join the “Alachua County 4-H Day Camps” club. Step 2: Once your 4-H Online profile is approved (within 3 business days), register for the day camp

  • iLEAD: Intermediate Leadership Conference

We are excited to now invite all 11-13 year old youth from across Florida to the University of Florida’s campus for a two night and full day leadership development experience. They will have the opportunity to connect with others from across the state of Florida and explore potential interests to ignite their spark in life. These interests will be explored through on and offsite engaging educational workshops that will connect them to career field experts unique to this experience.

At this event in Tallahassee, 4-H members can develop skills to debate, analyze legislation, and speak publicly, all while making new friends and having a whole lot of fun.  At this civic education event, attendees can sponsor a bill, amend, or lobby it, then debate the issues on the Capitol house and senate floors.

Legislature is open to youth ages 13 to 18 as of September 1 of the current 4-H year. For more information, contact Florida 4-H Citizenship/Leadership Coordinator, Derby Sale at sderby.sale@ufl.edu.
