Who We Are:

UF/IFAS Extension Hernando County is a partnership between the University of Florida, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Hernando County Board of Commissioners. The program shares science‑based information and helps improve the local community.

As part of the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, Extension works in all 67 counties in Florida. It teaches people how to grow food safely, protect nature and wildlife, save energy, keep food safe, support families, and help young people learn and grow. These programs are designed to make everyday life better for everyone in the county.
