Who We Are

WE ARE YOUR UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA- BRINING THE UNIVERSITY TO THE RESIDENTS OF HOLMES COUNTY.

UF/IFAS Extension Holmes County Extension is a partnership between state, federal, and county governments to provide scientific knowledge and expertise to the public. The University of Florida, together with Florida A&M University, administers the Florida Cooperative Extension Service. 

We strive to deliver science-based information and production practices that improve the quality of life, increase the profitability of the relevant industries and develop future leaders of our county.

Three agents currently serve the county: 

Kalyn Waters, County Director   

Agricultural and Natural Resources, Beef Cattle Nutrition, Reproduction, and Management, Livestock Health and Production, Agronomic Crop Production and Fish Pond Management

Judy Corbus, Family and Consumer Sciences  
Housing/Home Buyer Education, Money Management, Nutrition, and Food Preservation  

Chris Lauen, 4-H Youth Development 

Shooting Sports and Eviromental Educaiton

Kayla Welch, Office Manager
