Speakers Bureau Presentation

Speakers Bureau

. . . gardening information with a twist!

The Speakers Bureau consist of a group of very talented (and gutsy) Master Gardener Volunteers (MGVs) that choose to speak at public functions, representing the University of Florida (UF) > Institute of Food and Agricultural Science (IFAS) > IFAS Extension > Lake County > MGV Program.

Many organizations throughout Central Florida arrange for presentations (Library Talks), as well as request Special Talks to Garden Clubs and Civic Groups. We speak at:

  • Lake County Libraries:
    • Tavares Public Library
    • Eustis Library
    • Umatilla Memorial Library
    • Leesburg Public Library
    • Marion Baysinger Memorial (Groveland) Library
    • Cooper Memorial (Clermont) Library
    • W.T. Bland Public (Mount Dora) Library
  • Garden Clubs (e.g., Royal Harbor Garden Lovers, Highland Lakes Garden Club)
  • Civic Clubs (e.g., Howey-in-the-Hills Civic Club)
  • Organizations (e.g., Home & Garden Fall Expo, Lov Extension)

Presentation Information

  • 2026 Speakers Bureau Library Schedule: This list provides the 7 libraries and topics for 2026.

  • Request a Speaker: Garden Clubs and Civic Groups may request an MGV to speak at their meetings. Refer to the Presentation Topic List (below).

  • Speakers Bureau Presentation List: This is a partial list of our most popular topics, but the list is long!

  • Request a Docent Tour: The Master Gardeners are associated with the Discovery Gardens, located on the premises of the AgCenter. You may also request Docent Tours of the gardens, led by very pleasant and knowledgeable Master Gardener Volunteers!
